Welcome!
Advanced System Group was co-founded by Prof. Mingyu Chen and Prof. Jianping Fan in 2003 when this group was affiliated to National Research Center for Intelligent Computing System. Since 2006 this group has been a mainstay of Key Labroratory of Computer System and Architecture, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Our main research interests include high performance computer system, system software, parallel programming and algorithm for both traditional computer architectures and future novel computing systems. The members of this group have made their own contribution to develop the Dawning supercomputer series (Dawning 2000/3000/4000/5000/6000). Currently, we are especially seeking to wild&crazy idea and disruptive technology to devise future high-end computer systems.
Our group is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), High-Tech Research and Development (863) Programme and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The current projects:
- Research on Key Issues of Exascale Computing, NSFC, 2010-2013
- ..., NSFC, 2010-2012
- Methods for Developing Efficient Many-core Algorithms, NSFC, 2009-2011
- Hyper Parallel Processing Architecture, NSFC, 2007-2010
- Designing High Peformance Computers for Protein Sciences, CAS, 2008-2011
- Exploiting Locality of Parallel Algorithms on Multi-core Architectures, CAS, 2008-2010
- A Simulation Toolkit for Developing Large-scale Parallel Computer Architectures, 863, 2006-2009
